A single pin header / feedthru is a header with an individual conductor insulated by glass in a metal outer body. The body and contact can be soldered, welded, or threaded. The one conducting pin provides for the transfer of electrical power, gases or fluids from outside a hermetic chamber to the inside. Feedthrus / Single Pin Headers can provide both a hermetic seal and electrical isolation from the chamber wall.

There are several options to consider, contact type, termination type, length of contact, body diameters and materials. We have thousands of variations that have been produced since 1945, so there are many options available to meet your requirements, as well as complete customization.

These products can be manufactured with single glass beads or multi-hole individual glass pre-form construction. All glass construction yields greater insulation resistance, longer leakage path and higher breakdown voltage while the individual glass construction offers greater mechanical strength.

These products can be used in many applications including air monitoring. In this type of product application, a single seal header would be used to detect and transmit information regarding air flow, differential pressure and temperature in coal fueled power generation plants.
